Sphinx Saga / Moonlily Series: is "Sphinx, The Summit," Book One of the Sphinx Saga, or Book One of the Moonlily Series?

It’s both!
Sphinx is a trilogy, and this trilogy is under the Moonlily Series, a huge umbrella under which Moonlily’ stories are regrouped.
To repeat myself: “Moonlily” is the metaphorical name I chose for the invisible, and too often silent, caregivers in the fields of education, community support, and health. Moonlily could be you.
Sphinx regroups concerns and magic from many expeditions I participated in, in many schools and cities, including a Sphinx overnight expedition in the Ktunaxa territory, British Columbia. I chose this mysterious landscape to merge my stories and fragments of stories.
Because Sphinx ended up being nearly 600 pages long , which surprised some of my mentors and a few friends, and due to the high cost of the book (for both myself and buyers), and because an epic story made up of more than 250 interrelated poems—with careful progression (and even some regression) that depends on a particular chronology—is a lot to manage – which I did manage right up to the final book design stage – I decided to split the book into three parts, following its natural flow. Ouf! Things started to go a lot smoother for both me and my Friesen Press team after making this decision.
I have many other books on the go, which were very hard for me to put a hold on, as I have tendencies to start many projects and well, not finish many. I wanted to finish this one, all the way, for the children; this is why I paid Friesen Press to kick my butt, provide the framework and expertise I did not have, and support me through this process.
My other books, in progress, are not related to the Sphinx Saga; but are part of my career as an Education Assistant, or around it. Therefore: the Moonlily Series. Some of my poems, inspired by the people I worked with are so touching and so out of this world, I must share them! Those stories unfortunately, come along with a certain darkness of the environment where our children grow. Shall we ignore this darkness, present an untrue version of what we would love people to know about us? How would that help anyone, help our children grow, help our communities? We are our children’s environment. While we have all the reasons to make our work environment unhealthy (toxic some even say), we have no excuses. We can do better. Change is needed.
Sphinx, The Abyss, is next. I am still ambivalent about the third title of the Sphinx trilogy, but rest assured, it’s on its way to you soon.
And, if the interest is there, and you have a story you want to add to the Series... talk to me!
